Right after I moved I posted this post about my thrift store scores. One of the things I found to refashion was this skirt:

| Soooo long and unflattering! |
At first glace, it's ugly right?
But I thought it had potential. I loved the chevrons and polka dots combined, and the colors weren't bad either. It has two of my favorite neutrals; beige and dark blue! And best of all, it had pockets!

I'm such a sucker for pockets on a dress or skirt.
This turned out to be a super simple refashion, I just took it up and re-hemmed it about a foot and a half higher then the original hem:

It turned out super cute! And the best part is that the new hem is that magical length on me where I can wear this skirt (like I did above) with leggings, and I can wear it bare legged and not feel overexposed!

| Boy howdy do I need some self tanner before I wear this outside with bare legs. |
So cute and I can wear just about any color with it...were I to actually buy some real colors to wear with all my black, grey and tan, etc. I think getting some color in my wardrobe is next on my list for this spring.
