Since I've been on a huge sewing kick lately (tons and tons of tutorials to come!), for today I thought I'd do a quick post about some of my ten favorite amazing sewing tutorials for women right now. There are some crazy talented and inspiring bloggers out there producing some really cool clothes!
Click on the pictures below for links to the tutorials!
1. The Summer Shift Dress from Elle Apparel:
I haven't made this one yet, but you better believe I'm going to! Her blog is where I got the tutorial for my me-sewn maxi skirt, too. She's so talented!
2. The my favorite Tee dress by iCandy Handmade:
iCandy Handmade is another amazing blog! She also does a ton of kid's clothing tutorials that are inventive and adorable.
3. The Bold Florals dress by Merrick at Merrick's Art:
I am addicted to Merrick's Art, she is so stylish and cute, and her tutorials are easy to follow. I could have listed all of her tutorials on here, but I just chose my top two!
This is an oldie but one of the best! Super easy, and by the Master herself, Anna Maria Horner, using her own fabric.
5. The Easy Tank Top Dress tutorial by Sew Country Chick:
Justine from Sew Country Chick is adorable and a seriously talented sewist. She makes amazing clothes for herself and her kids! If you check out her site she has about 1,000 other sewing projects you can browse.
6. The Peplum Top refashion by Melissa at I Still Love You:
While you're checking out Melissa at I Still Love You, check out her fun jewelry tutorials as well! Her use of neon is stunning.
7. The Pattern Pop Tee refashion by Merrick of Merrick's Art:
More Merrick's Art! I am working on my own tutorial for the Anthropologie Pattern Pop Tee, because I made mine differently then she did. But this is still one of my favorite, most inspiring tutorials!
I want this dress somethin' fierce! I can just see it with a brown belt...this is another one I will be making for myself! Cotton and Curls is probably my all time favorite sewing blog!
9. DIY high low skirt from A Beautiful Mess:
This tutorial is the one I used when I did my own thrift store dress to hi-low hem dress refashion!
10. Quick knit maxi tutorial from Cotton and Curls:
Her coral maxi skirt with a white t-shirt tucked in is to die for all by itself, but then she shows you how to make it! This was the inspiration behind my own coral maxi skirt sewing project.
I hope this list inspired you as much as it inspires me!
