Triangle Earrings Tutorial

Today I'm going to show you how to make these trendy triangle earrings! I'm having a small love affair with triangles right now. I've always liked geometric shapes, but for some reason triangles just seem so fun to me! They're like the square's flirtier, more extroverted cousin.

I've been wanting some triangle themed earrings for a while, but could never seem to find exactly what I wanted. Then it dawned on me: Hey! I make jewelry! I could make my own...D'oh.

I had some dainty mint green beads left over from making this necklace, so I set off to make my own coveted triangle earrings And of course you know I had to take pictures and share the process with you!

I started out with some small beads, two equal lengths of chain, two jump rings, two eye pins and two earring hooks. I also used my multi-purpose jewelry tool (which I mainly use for the needle nose pliers):

Thread your beads onto your eye pin, however many beads look good:

With your needle nose pliers, create a second hook on the other end of your beads on the eye pin:

You will find the center of your length of chain, and fold it so you know where to attach your jump ring:

Open the jump ring like this:

Attach your jump ring to both the center link in your chain, and your earring hook like this:

Then you will open both of the "eyes" on your eye pin with the beads on it, and attach the ends of the chain to either end like this:

To add the small dangly bead at the top of your triangles, you will need two more beads and two head pins:

Thread one bead onto a head pin, and on the other end cut it off with about 1/4 inch, then bend into a hook:

Thread the single bead through the earring hooks, and close them off. You're done! These are seriously the easiest earrings ever!

If you make these earrings for yourself, we'd love to see them! We always love showcasing reader's projects on all our social media!
