These gorgeous boho-style earrings are one of the easiest things I've ever made. Seriously. You will end up making six pairs for yourself! Click to keep reading:
I started out with two earrings wires with a eye hook on one end, two earring hooks, and some beads. I also ended up using two jump rings (not pictured):
for those of your wondering, I got my pre-made earring hoops in one of those beginner earring kits that also came with several pairs of each kind of earring hook and back. You can also make your own by buying the twisted wire used to make those slinky-style beaded bracelets, and just cut off a loop and make your own eye hooks.
I played around with the pattern/colors I wanted for my beads, until I came up with this slightly southwestern color scheme. I used the last of my beloved mint green beads from making this necklace and these triangle earrings.
To start, simply thread your beads onto your earring hoops in the order you decided on:
Do this with both earring hoops:
On the end that has the eye hook, open the hook and insert your jump ring. Close the hook. Create a second eye hook on the other side using needle nosed pliers:
Before you close the eye hook you just created, loop it through the jump ring as well:
Open the eye hooks on the bottom of your earring hooks, and look them through your jump ring as well. Make sure you remember to close it afterwards! Your earring could fall apart otherwise *ahem, voice of experience talking.*
There, wasn't that easy? Now you have your very own pair of boho hoop earrings! I think this would be a really cute look with a ton of tiny neon beads as well. Or there's a pair from Anthropologie I've been wanting to knock off that combines gold and silver beads...the possibilities are endless!
